The full story
Back in 2004 Gerben met Graham at the Old Trafford Pub in Antwerp to discuss a music project called "Fille Rouge". After a few beers and a lengthy chat about their favourite albums, it was clear they had an instant connection.
Influenced by the obvious British artists, their first incarnation was Kinky Retro. A body of work that perfecty blended the talents of each of the 5 musicians. Things were going great until personal tragedy struck, and things came to an all too soon end.
Fast forward to 2019 and after a little reminiscing over the phone, they both decided they felt a strong need to play music again and they both had songs they wanted to share. Dakota Pilots was born.
Despite all the obstacles brought about by Brexit and the global pandemic, they pushed on. And, thanks to the contributions of some amazing and talented people like Aram Van Ballaert, Dave Elli, Raf Helsen, Peter Verhaegen, Paul Finnley, Jan Cleymans, Roeland Vandemoortele, Cathérine de Bock, Katleen Van den Bossche & Elien Boermans they finally managed to make the album they wanted.

Mixing multiple genre's with their unmistakable style, they tell stories of everyday life, love, tragedy and trials.
